Our premium antimicrobial grab bar come with knurled grips utilizing CuVerro Shield™ by Aereus Technologies. CuVerro Shield™ is a new solid antimicrobial copper alloy solution that begins killing 99.9% of bacteria* on contact. CuVerro Shield™ is applied directly to the knurled grips of the grab bar eliminating the bacteria on the most highly touched portion of the bar creating one of the worlds safest antimicrobial grab bars.

All our antimicrobial grab bars are fabricated to meet the requirements of ASTM #f446-85 with 1-1/2″ wall clearance and comply with ANSI A117.1-1986, making buildings accessible to handicapped. Elcoma grab bars and safety rails have a wall-to-bar nominal offset distance of 1-1/2″ (38mm). All 1-1/4″ (32mm) and 1-1/2″ (38mm) diameter welded stainless steel bars have been designed and tested to withstand up to 900 lbs. (408kg) of downward load when properly installed. This exceeds HUD, FHA, VA, ADA and other federal, provincial, and local codes.
